Mrs. Villain has always been active in the arts and culture space. When she returned to Abu Dhabi in 1992, she became, with H.E. Zaki Nussabeih, one of the three founding members of the Abu Dhabi Concert Committee chaired by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed. The committee organized more than one hundred concerts and created the Al Ain Music Festival repeated every year.
When the University Sorbonne Abu Dhabi opened, she created under the patronage of H.H. the Crown Prince, the Association of the friends of the University. She is still serving as the Chairperson.
From the first Abu Dhabi Art Fair in 2007, Fairouz has actively supported Abu Dhabi Art as a Patron, contributing to many of their events. Most recently, she created, as Founding Member, the Patron Circle of the newly opened Louvre Abu Dhabi.
In Paris, Mrs Fairouz Villain is an active Patron of "les amis du Centre Pompidou" and a member of its « Comite d'Acquisition du groupe MENA du Cercle International ». She is also Patron of the « Association Portes Ouvertes sur l'Art" created to support artists, essentially from the MENA region, exiled in France.
For two decades, Fairouz focused her personal collecting efforts on paintings and sculptures from the MENA region.
In February 2012, Mrs Fairouz Villain was made
"Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres" by the Minister of Culture for her "significant contributions" to the arts. In December 2021, she was awarded "Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Legion d'Honneur" by the President of the French Republic.
